Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging tech trends (AI, biotech, quantum computing) to identify disruptive opportunities through 2026+
- Develop scenario-based strategic roadmaps for product development and market expansion
- Lead cross-functional workshops to forecast societal impacts and ethical implications of innovations
- Partner with R&D to prototype future-facing solutions with rapid iteration cycles
- Author quarterly trend reports for executive board and investor briefings
- Build external ecosystem through partnerships with academic institutions and policy think tanks
- Drive organizational adoption of foresight methodologies across all departments
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Technology Forecasting, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years experience in strategic innovation or futurist consulting at Fortune 500 or tech scale-up
- Proven expertise in horizon scanning and scenario planning methodologies
- Deep knowledge of exponential technologies and their societal implications
- Exceptional storytelling skills with executive presentation experience
- Published thought leadership in futurist or innovation publications
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in trend analysis tools (e.g., Palantir, Tableau)
- Certification in Foresight Methodologies (e.g., AC/FS) or equivalent
