Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms leveraging machine learning for 2026-era applications
- Lead cross-functional R&D teams in prototyping hybrid quantum-classical systems
- Develop fault-tolerant quantum error correction protocols for large-scale deployments
- Author breakthrough research papers for Nature/Science journals and industry conferences
- Secure $5M+ in government and private sector funding for quantum-AI initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates and postdocs in quantum machine learning methodologies
- Collaborate with Intel/Microsoft on quantum hardware-software co-design
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Machine Learning, or Theoretical Physics
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in top-tier journals on quantum neural networks
- Expertise in tensor networks and quantum circuit optimization
- Proficiency in Python/C++ with quantum simulation libraries
- Experience securing DoE/NIST grants for quantum research
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical concepts into commercial prototypes
