Responsibilities
- Analyze macroeconomic, technological, and societal trends to forecast industry shifts through 2026
- Develop and maintain the 2026 Strategic Horizon Framework with quantitative and qualitative models
- Lead cross-functional 'Future Scenarios' workshops with engineering, marketing, and product teams
- Author quarterly 'Future State Briefs' for executive stakeholders and board members
- Partner with R&D to incubate moonshot initiatives aligned with 2026 market projections
- Establish competitive intelligence systems for emerging technologies and disruptive business models
- Mentor junior futurists and build the organization's foresight capabilities
Qualifications
- 7+ years in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or futurist roles
- Proven track record of developing long-term strategic frameworks (5+ year horizons)
- Expertise in trend analysis, scenario planning, and systems thinking
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (AI, quantum, biotech)
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to translate complex concepts
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Business Strategy, or related field
- Portfolio demonstrating published foresight work or strategic impact
- Certification in foresight methodologies (e.g., CFM, CET) preferred
