About the Role:
Apex Digital Solutions is looking for a visionary 2D Web Interaction Developer to join our creative engineering team in San Francisco. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for building immersive, high-performance 2D graphics, animations, and interactive experiences that drive user engagement and set industry standards.
What You'll Do:
You will bridge the gap between creative design and technical implementation, utilizing cutting-edge web technologies to deliver pixel-perfect, fluid, and accessible 2D interfaces. You will work closely with UX designers and product managers to translate complex visual concepts into robust, scalable code.
Responsibilities
- Architect and implement complex 2D graphics and interactive animations using HTML5 Canvas, SVG, and WebGL.
- Optimize rendering performance to ensure smooth 60fps animations across all major browsers and devices.
- Develop reusable 2D rendering engines and utility libraries to support the broader engineering team.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to ensure pixel-perfect implementation of design mockups and interactive prototypes.
- Debug and resolve intricate rendering issues, focusing on cross-browser compatibility and accessibility (WCAG standards).
- Stay abreast of emerging web standards and 2D graphics technologies to continuously improve our technical stack.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional experience in front-end development with a strong focus on 2D graphics.
- Deep proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.
- Extensive experience with the HTML5 Canvas API, SVG manipulation, and 2D physics engines.
- Strong understanding of animation principles, easing functions, and timing.
- Experience with performance profiling tools (Chrome DevTools, Lighthouse) and optimization techniques.
- Portfolio demonstrating previous work on 2D web interactions, games, or visualization tools.
