Responsibilities
- Assist Journeyman Electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
- Prepare and organize job sites, including laying out materials, mixing concrete for foundations, and ensuring safety compliance.
- Perform basic electrical tasks such as stripping wires, terminating connections, and installing outlets, switches, and lighting fixtures.
- Load and unload materials from trucks, ensuring inventory is organized and accessible for daily operations.
- Adhere to all local and national electrical codes (NEC) and safety regulations to ensure a hazard-free work environment.
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients to update on project progress and address on-site needs.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, reporting any necessary repairs or replacements.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED: Required; equivalent experience will be considered.
- No Experience Necessary: We welcome candidates with little to no prior electrical experience who are eager to learn.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in various weather conditions, and stand for extended periods.
- Valid Driver's License: Must have a clean driving record and reliable transportation.
- Basic Math Skills: Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and perform basic measurements.
- Team Player: Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a diverse team.
- Reliability: Punctual and dependable attendance record is essential.
