As an Apprentice, you will work alongside our certified journeymen, gaining hands-on experience in residential and commercial projects throughout the Orlando area. We offer a competitive starting wage, comprehensive benefits, and a clear path to Journeyman certification.
Responsibilities
- Assist Journeyman Electricians: Support senior team members in the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems, including lighting, outlets, and circuit breakers.
- Load and Unload Materials: Help transport tools, equipment, and materials to job sites, ensuring a safe and efficient workflow.
- Site Preparation: Prepare job sites by setting up ladders, scaffolding, and ensuring safety barriers are in place.
- Testing and Troubleshooting: Learn to use multimeters and other testing equipment to diagnose electrical issues under supervision.
- Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to OSHA safety standards and company protocols.
- Documentation: Assist in filling out necessary work orders and safety reports accurately.
Qualifications
- Willingness to Learn: No prior experience is required, but you must be eager to learn and willing to follow instructions.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and climb ladders for extended periods; must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Driver’s License: A valid Driver’s License is required for travel to various job sites.
- Communication Skills: Basic ability to communicate clearly with team members and supervisors.
- Basic Math Skills: Comfortable with basic measurements and calculations.
- Reliability: Punctual and dependable attendance is essential.
