Responsibilities
- Assist Journeyman plumbers with the installation, repair, and maintenance of piping systems, fixtures, and appliances.
- Learn to operate various hand and power tools, including pipe wrenches, threading machines, and soldering torches.
- Perform basic measurements and calculations for pipe cutting and fitting.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
- Communicate effectively with customers to answer questions and explain work being performed.
- Transport materials and tools to and from job sites as needed.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record are required.
- Must be physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions.
- Basic math skills are essential for taking accurate measurements.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings if required.
- Strong desire to learn the trade and advance professionally.
