Responsibilities
- Assist Journeyman Plumbers: Support senior technicians with the installation, repair, and maintenance of residential and commercial piping systems.
- Tool Management: Maintain a clean and organized work area; properly handle and store all tools and equipment.
- Basic Installation: Perform basic pipe cutting, threading, and soldering under supervision.
- Site Preparation: Prepare job sites by laying out materials and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with clients, answer questions, and maintain a positive company image on-site.
- Compliance: Adhere to all local, state, and federal safety regulations and company policies.
- Waste Disposal: Properly dispose of construction debris and hazardous materials according to environmental guidelines.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift 50+ lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and a clean driving record required (reliable transportation is a must).
- Math Skills: Basic understanding of fractions, decimals, and geometry is highly preferred.
- Attitude: Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a genuine desire to learn the trade.
- Availability: Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and overtime as project demands require.
- Background: No felony convictions related to theft or violence (standard industry background check).
