Responsibilities
- Install and Repair: Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of piping systems, water heaters, and drainage fixtures according to local codes and manufacturer specifications.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers, explaining technical issues in plain language and ensuring a high level of satisfaction.
- Tool Management: Maintain, clean, and organize tools and work vehicles to ensure efficiency and safety on the job site.
- Problem Solving: Diagnose complex plumbing issues accurately and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.
- Site Preparation: Prepare job sites by laying out materials, measuring, cutting, and fitting pipes, and ensuring a clean work environment.
- Code Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and local plumbing codes during all operations.
Qualifications
- Educational Background: High school diploma or GED preferred; vocational training in plumbing is a plus but not required.
- Willingness to Learn: A strong drive to master the trade; previous trade experience is a bonus but not mandatory.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), stand for long periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Driver's License: Valid Texas Class C Driver's License and a clean driving record required.
- Basic Math Skills: Ability to read tape measures, calculate measurements, and understand basic technical schematics.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
