Responsibilities
- Assist Journeyman Plumbers: Perform daily tasks such as pipe cutting, threading, soldering, and fitting under supervision.
- Site Preparation: Prepare job sites by gathering tools, materials, and cleaning up work areas to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and organize plumbing materials and equipment at job sites.
- Read Plans & Schematics: Learn to interpret blueprints and technical drawings to understand project requirements.
- Install Fixtures: Install, repair, and maintain residential and commercial plumbing fixtures (toilets, sinks, faucets).
- Compliance: Adhere to all local, state, and federal safety codes and regulations.
Qualifications
- Educational Background: High school diploma or GED preferred; trade school certification is a plus but not required.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift 50+ lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Driver's License: A valid driver's license and clean driving record are required to travel between job sites in NY and PA.
- Work Ethic: Strong desire to learn, reliability, and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Problem Solving: Basic understanding of math and mechanical aptitude is helpful.
