Responsibilities
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, setting up scaffolding, and directing traffic
- Assist skilled trades with material handling, equipment operation, and tool management
- Follow strict safety protocols and maintain clean, organized work environments
- Read and interpret blueprints to execute precise construction tasks
- Operate power tools including saws, drills, and demolition equipment
- Assist in concrete pouring, finishing, and curing processes
- Perform site inspections and report maintenance needs to supervisors
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of commercial or residential construction experience
- OSHA 30-hour certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Valid Texas driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Proficiency with hand/power tools and construction machinery
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Basic math skills for material calculations and measurements
