Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradesmen (carpenters, masons, electricians) with material handling and site preparation
- Perform physical tasks including digging, lifting, and operating hand/power tools safely
- Maintain clean, organized job sites and remove debris according to OSHA standards
- Read blueprints and follow verbal instructions from site supervisors
- Operate light machinery (e.g., concrete mixers, saws) with proper training
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and wear required PPE at all times
- Support scaffold setup/takedown and temporary structure installation
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year construction or related physical labor experience
- Valid Louisiana driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- OSHA 10-hour certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Basic math skills for material measurements and inventory
- Strong teamwork ethic and punctuality
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screen
- High school diploma or equivalent required
