Responsibilities
- Execute site preparation, excavation, and grading tasks to precise specifications
- Operate heavy machinery including excavators, bulldozers, and forklifts with proper safety protocols
- Install and remove scaffolding, temporary structures, and safety barriers
- Mix, pour, and finish concrete for foundations and structural elements
- Assist carpenters and masons with material handling and basic construction tasks
- Maintain clean, organized job sites and adhere to OSHA safety standards
- Read blueprints and project plans to understand task requirements
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in extreme temperatures
- OSHA 10-hour certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment operation
- Strong work ethic and punctuality with minimal attendance issues
- Ability to work collaboratively in diverse teams and follow verbal/written instructions
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Previous construction experience preferred but not required
