Responsibilities
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, setting up scaffolding, and directing traffic
- Operate hand/power tools (saws, drills, jackhammers) and heavy equipment (excavators, forklifts)
- Read blueprints and technical drawings to execute construction plans accurately
- Mix, pour, and finish concrete structures with precision
- Install and remove temporary safety barriers and signage
- Assist skilled tradesmen (carpenters, electricians, plumbers) with material handling
- Perform daily equipment maintenance and safety inspections
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year construction labor experience or trade school certification
- Valid OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in extreme weather conditions
- Class B CDL license preferred (training provided if needed)
- Proficient with power tools and basic construction machinery
- Strong attention to safety protocols and detail-oriented work ethic
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
