Responsibilities
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, setting up scaffolding, and directing traffic flow
- Operate power tools (saws, drills, jackhammers) and heavy equipment (excavators, forklifts) safely
- Read blueprints and technical drawings to execute precise material placement
- Assist carpenters, masons, and electricians with specialized trade tasks
- Maintain OSHA compliance through daily safety inspections and hazard reporting
- Load/unload materials using proper lifting techniques and rigging procedures
- Complete daily progress reports and maintain accurate job documentation
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of commercial/residential construction experience required
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification preferred
- Valid Pennsylvania driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment
- Strong understanding of building codes and safety regulations
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
