Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradesmen in daily construction tasks including site preparation, material handling, and equipment operation
- Perform physically demanding work such as digging, lifting, carrying materials, and operating hand/power tools
- Ensure strict adherence to OSHA safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment
- Read and interpret basic blueprints and project specifications to execute tasks accurately
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines and quality standards
- Report maintenance issues with equipment and machinery to site supervisors
- Participate in daily toolbox meetings to align on safety priorities and project goals
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of construction or heavy labor experience preferred
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- OSHA 10-hour certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment operation
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions precisely
- Reliable transportation to job sites across Omaha metropolitan area
