Responsibilities
- Execute excavation, grading, and earthmoving operations with precision
- Install and remove temporary structures, barricades, and safety signage
- Operate heavy machinery including forklifts, excavators, and jackhammers
- Mix, pour, and finish concrete surfaces to project specifications
- Assist carpenters and masons with material handling and site preparation
- Perform daily equipment maintenance and safety inspections
- Adhere strictly to OSHA and Cal/OSHA compliance protocols
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain project timelines
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on construction experience in California
- Valid California Driver's License and clean driving record
- OSHA 10-hour Construction Safety certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Proficient with hand/power tools and heavy machinery operation
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in extreme weather conditions
- Strong understanding of construction blueprints and site plans
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- California-specific asbestos and lead awareness training preferred
