Responsibilities
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, setting up scaffolding, and organizing materials
- Assist carpenters, masons, and other tradespeople with material handling and tool management
- Operate heavy machinery including forklifts, excavators, and jackhammers with proper certification
- Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate project execution
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and maintain clean, organized work areas
- Perform site inspections and report hazards or maintenance needs to supervisors
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines and quality standards
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on construction labor experience
- Valid OSHA 30-hour certification or willingness to obtain immediately
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in all weather conditions
- Basic understanding of construction tools and equipment operation
- Strong work ethic with punctuality and reliability as core values
- Ability to read technical blueprints and follow written instructions
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as project demands require
