Responsibilities
- Execute site preparation including excavation, grading, and material handling
- Assist carpenters, masons, and equipment operators with specialized tasks
- Ensure strict adherence to OSHA safety protocols and quality standards
- Operate hand/power tools and heavy machinery under certified supervision
- Maintain organized job sites through material staging and debris management
- Read blueprints and technical specifications for accurate task execution
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years verified construction labor experience
- OSHA 10-Hour certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in extreme weather
- Basic understanding of construction terminology and processes
- Pre-employment physical and drug screening required
- Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed
- Reliable transportation to job sites across Chicago metro area
