Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradesmen with site preparation, material handling, and equipment operation
- Perform heavy lifting, digging, and debris removal following OSHA safety standards
- Operate hand/power tools including saws, drills, and pneumatic equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints to execute construction tasks accurately
- Maintain clean, organized job sites and adhere to environmental protocols
- Collaborate with diverse teams to meet tight project deadlines
- Report hazards and maintain daily equipment maintenance logs
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year construction experience or equivalent vocational training
- Valid Louisiana driver's license and reliable transportation
- OSHA 10 certification preferred (training available)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic math skills for material measurement and inventory
- Strong work ethic and punctuality with zero tolerance for tardiness
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Experience with concrete work or demolition highly desirable
