Responsibilities
- Execute manual labor tasks including excavation, material handling, and site preparation
- Assist skilled trades (carpenters, masons, electricians) with project-specific duties
- Operate hand/power tools safely and efficiently per OSHA standards
- Maintain clean, organized workspaces and adhere to job site cleanliness protocols
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and verbal instructions
- Perform light equipment operation (forklifts, excavators) with proper certification
- Report safety hazards and maintain incident-free work records
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and materials
- Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and overtime
- Strong work ethic and punctuality with zero-tolerance policy
- Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Previous construction experience preferred but not required
