Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Perform heavy manual labor including digging, trenching, and site cleanup to prepare areas for construction activities.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Equipment Support: Assist in the operation and maintenance of light construction equipment and power tools under supervision.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety standards and site-specific safety protocols to maintain a hazard-free work environment.
- Trade Assistance: Support skilled tradespeople (electricians, plumbers, carpenters) by providing necessary tools and materials.
- Quality Control: Assist in basic quality checks to ensure work meets project specifications and standards.
Qualifications
- Experience: Prior construction labor experience is preferred but not required; we offer training for motivated candidates.
- Physical Stamina: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand/walk for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- License: Valid Driver's License and a clean driving record (commercial license a plus).
- Tools: Basic understanding of construction tools and their proper use is beneficial.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, dependable, and able to work efficiently in a team setting.
- Communication: Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions from supervisors.
