Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by cleaning and clearing areas of debris, rocks, and other obstacles.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and stack building materials, tools, and equipment with precision and care.
- Assistance: Support skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, etc.) by performing manual tasks such as digging, carrying, and holding materials.
- Equipment Operation: Operate power tools and heavy machinery (such as forklifts or skid steers) safely under supervision.
- Quality Control: Help ensure that work areas are kept clean, organized, and safe in accordance with OSHA standards.
- Measurements: Assist in measuring, cutting, and shaping wood, concrete, and other materials as directed.
Qualifications
- Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, including lifting heavy objects and standing for long hours.
- Reliability: A strong work ethic and the ability to arrive on time and ready to work every day.
- Communication: Basic ability to follow verbal and written instructions from supervisors.
