Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespeople with various on-site construction tasks, including framing, drywall hanging, and rough-in work.
- Load, unload, and organize building materials, tools, and equipment from delivery trucks and storage areas.
- Keep job sites clean, organized, and safe by removing debris, trash, and hazardous materials regularly.
- Operate basic construction tools and machinery under the direct supervision of a foreman or supervisor.
- Follow all project blueprints, safety protocols, and OSHA guidelines to ensure a secure work environment.
- Measure, cut, and prepare materials (wood, drywall, etc.) as directed by project managers.
- Perform minor maintenance and cleaning of tools and equipment to ensure longevity and safety.
Qualifications
- No prior construction experience required; on-the-job training provided for the right candidates.
- Must be physically fit and able to lift heavy objects (50+ lbs) repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Valid driverβs license and reliable transportation are strongly preferred.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and adapt to changing schedules.
- Basic reading and math skills for measuring materials and following instructions.
- Must be willing to work full-time hours with a focus on attendance and reliability.
- Willingness to obtain necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) on day one.
