Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and setting up temporary structures.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials using hand trucks, forklifts, or manual labor as required.
- Equipment Support: Operate basic construction equipment (e.g., concrete mixers, generators) under the supervision of a foreman.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Site Cleanup: Maintain a clean and organized job site by disposing of waste and organizing tools and materials.
- Assist Tradesmen: Provide support to carpenters, electricians, and other skilled tradespeople as needed.
- Measurements: Help measure and cut materials to ensure accuracy for projects.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Must be able to perform manual labor for extended periods, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Reliability: Must have a reliable means of transportation to and from the job site.
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions from supervisors.
- Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail to ensure tasks are completed correctly and safely.
- Communication: Basic verbal communication skills required to interact with team members and site managers.
- Valid Driver’s License: Preferred but not always required.
