Responsibilities
- Assist carpenters and masons with site preparation, material handling, and cleanup
- Operate hand/power tools safely and efficiently (saws, drills, jackhammers)
- Read blueprints and follow verbal instructions for task execution
- Maintain strict adherence to OSHA safety standards and company protocols
- Perform heavy lifting (up to 75 lbs) and physically demanding tasks in all weather conditions
- Assist with equipment operation (forklifts, excavators) when certified
- Contribute to daily site inspections and quality control measures
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year construction labor experience preferred
- Valid OSHA 10-hour certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Strong work ethic with punctuality and reliability focus
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
- Valid North Carolina driver's license
- Ability to work flexible hours including overtime and weekends
- Experience with concrete, framing, or demolition a plus
