Responsibilities
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, setting up equipment, and establishing safety barriers
- Load/unload construction materials and equipment using proper lifting techniques and machinery
- Operate hand/power tools (saws, drills, jackhammers) and heavy equipment (excavators, forklifts) under supervision
- Assist skilled tradespeople with framing, concrete pouring, plumbing, and electrical installations
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety protocols and maintain clean, organized work areas
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and project specifications
- Perform site inspections and report hazards or equipment malfunctions immediately
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of construction labor experience or relevant trade apprenticeship
- OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety Certification required
- Valid driver's license with clean record; CDL preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in extreme weather conditions
- Proficiency in operating power tools and heavy machinery
- Strong understanding of construction materials and building processes
- Excellent physical stamina and ability to stand/walk 8+ hours daily
- Willingness to work flexible hours including nights/weekends for project deadlines
