Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and prepare construction materials, tools, and equipment for daily use.
- Site Preparation: Assist in site preparation, excavation, grading, and ensuring the work area is clean and organized.
- Equipment Operation: Operate heavy machinery and power tools (such as saws, drills, and compressors) safely under supervision.
- Trade Assistance: Support skilled tradespeople, including carpenters, electricians, and plumbers, by performing necessary labor tasks.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols to maintain a hazard-free work environment.
- Quality Control: Help ensure finished work meets project specifications and quality standards.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with team leads and project managers regarding daily tasks and progress.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in general construction labor or a related field is preferred but not required for the right candidate.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Driver's License: A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent is a plus.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, dependable, and able to work full-time hours.
- Attitude: A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills are essential.
