Your Role
As a Construction Laborer, you will work closely with skilled tradespeople to ensure our projects are completed safely, on time, and to the highest standards. Your physical stamina and willingness to learn will be key to your success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment to and from job sites using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Site Preparation: Clean and prepare construction sites by removing debris, grading the land, and setting up scaffolding or barricades.
- Assist Tradespeople: Provide hands-on support to carpenters, electricians, and masons as needed for various phases of construction.
- Equipment Operation: Operate power tools, hand tools, and basic construction machinery safely and efficiently.
- Quality Control: Ensure all work meets project specifications and quality control standards.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols to maintain a hazard-free work environment.
- Demolition & Renovation: Assist in dismantling structures and preparing surfaces for renovation or new construction.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience as a General Laborer, Construction Helper, or in a related trade is preferred but not required (on-the-job training available).
- Physical Requirements: Must be physically fit and able to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly; ability to work in various weather conditions.
- Driver's License: A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required for travel between locations.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Communication: Ability to follow verbal and written instructions from supervisors.
- Teamwork: Strong willingness to work as part of a team and maintain a positive attitude.
- Safety Training: Familiarity with OSHA 10 or 30 safety standards is a plus.
