Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Clear and prepare construction sites by removing debris, trash, and obstacles.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and distribute materials, tools, and equipment to job sites efficiently.
- Assist Trades: Support skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, plumbers) by performing basic tasks as directed.
- Equipment Operation: Operate heavy machinery and tools (e.g., forklifts, jackhammers) in a safe and controlled manner.
- Site Cleanup: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with OSHA safety standards.
- Transportation: Transport materials between job sites and storage areas.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in construction labor or general labor preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform strenuous physical labor for extended periods, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and standing/walking on uneven terrain.
- Valid Driver's License: A valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Safety Conscious: Must adhere to all safety protocols and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Teamwork: Must be a reliable team player who communicates effectively with supervisors and coworkers.
- Availability: Must be available to work full-time hours, including mornings and potential weekends.
