Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Clear and prepare construction sites by removing debris, digging trenches, and leveling ground according to blueprints.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from the site using heavy machinery or hand tools.
- Assist Skilled Trades: Provide essential support to carpenters, electricians, and masons by carrying tools, holding materials, or performing basic setup tasks.
- Equipment Maintenance: Inspect and maintain tools and equipment to ensure they are in safe working condition.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA safety regulations and company protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.
- Clean-Up: Perform regular clean-up duties to maintain a tidy and organized work site.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in construction labor or general labor is preferred but not required (comprehensive training provided).
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and stand/walk for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Tools: Familiarity with basic hand tools (hammers, saws, levels) is a plus.
- Driver’s License: Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
- Communication: Ability to read basic blueprints and communicate effectively with the crew.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, dependable, and willing to work overtime as needed.
