Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, leveling ground, and setting up temporary workspaces.
- Material Handling: Transport, load, and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment safely to and from job sites.
- Tool Operation: Operate basic construction tools and power equipment under supervision.
- Support Skilled Trades: Provide assistance to carpenters, electricians, and other skilled laborers as needed.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
- Site Cleanup: Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper waste disposal.
Qualifications
- Physical Fitness: Ability to perform heavy physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs repeatedly, standing for long periods, and working in various weather conditions.
- Experience: Prior experience in construction or general labor is preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided.
- Driver's License: A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required for material transport.
- Tools: Basic knowledge of construction tools and safety gear is a plus.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, dependable, and able to work as part of a cohesive team.
- Communication: Basic verbal communication skills to understand instructions and interact with colleagues.
