Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and setting up temporary structures.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport building materials to and from the job site using forklifts, hand trucks, and other equipment.
- Equipment Support: Operate basic construction equipment and tools under supervision to support skilled tradesmen.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols to maintain a safe work environment.
- Assist Tradesmen: Provide support to carpenters, electricians, and plumbers as needed to ensure project milestones are met.
- Quality Control: Perform basic inspections to ensure work meets quality standards before it is covered or finalized.
Qualifications
- Experience: Prior experience in construction, landscaping, or general labor is preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Valid Driver's License: Must possess a current, valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Tools: Familiarity with basic hand tools (hammers, saws, levels) is a plus.
- Communication: Ability to follow verbal and written instructions effectively.
- Background Check: Must pass a background check and drug screening.
