Responsibilities
- Perform physical tasks including digging, lifting materials, and operating hand/power tools
- Assist skilled tradesmen with construction activities on commercial/residential sites
- Maintain clean and organized job sites following OSHA safety protocols
- Read and interpret basic construction plans and blueprints
- Operate light machinery like concrete mixers and jackhammers safely
- Report project progress and material needs to site supervisors
- Participate in daily safety briefings and toolbox meetings
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old with valid government-issued ID
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain)
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment preferred
- Strong work ethic and punctuality with reliable transportation
- Ability to pass mandatory drug screening and background check
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification (training provided)
- Team player with clear communication skills
