Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Prepare construction sites by clearing and cleaning areas, removing debris, and setting up scaffolding or temporary structures.
- Material Handling: Transport, load, and unload building materials, tools, and equipment using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Assist Trades: Support electricians, plumbers, and carpenters by providing necessary materials and performing manual tasks to keep projects on schedule.
- Tool Operation: Operate power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Quality Control: Assist in the basic assembly of structures, ensuring work meets quality standards and specifications.
- Site Safety: Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following all OSHA safety guidelines and reporting hazards immediately.
- Documentation: Help with basic site documentation, including time tracking and material usage logs.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous construction or general labor experience is preferred but not required; willing to train motivated candidates.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) for extended periods; must be comfortable working in various weather conditions.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
- Safety Mindset: Strong commitment to workplace safety and following instructions.
- Tools: Familiarity with basic hand tools (hammers, drills, saws) is a plus.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Availability: Must be available for full-time hours, including weekends or overtime as needed.
