Responsibilities
- Perform physical tasks including digging, lifting, carrying materials, and operating hand/power tools
- Assist skilled tradesmen with site preparation, demolition, and cleanup
- Follow strict safety protocols and maintain organized job sites
- Read and interpret basic blueprints and project specifications
- Operate light machinery (e.g., saws, drills, jackhammers) with proper training
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines
- Report equipment issues or safety hazards to supervisors
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Minimum 1 year construction or labor experience preferred
- Valid California driver's license required
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- OSHA 10-hour certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
- Reliable transportation to job sites within Fresno County
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
