Responsibilities
- Perform general labor tasks on construction sites, including loading, unloading, and transporting materials.
- Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, plumbers) with various tasks as directed.
- Operate construction equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and power tools safely.
- Ensure all work areas are clean, organized, and adhere to safety protocols (OSHA standards).
- Measure, cut, and prepare building materials for installation.
- Support site preparation, excavation, and concrete work as needed.
- Complete daily logs and report any safety hazards or equipment issues to supervisors immediately.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Physical ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and stand for long periods.
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation are required.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of construction safety practices is a plus.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work well in a team environment.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
