Responsibilities
- Assist skilled trades with material handling, site preparation, and cleanup
- Operate hand/power tools (saws, drills, jackhammers) following OSHA protocols
- Read blueprints and interpret construction plans with supervisor guidance
- Load/un construction materials and equipment safely
- Maintain organized job sites and adhere to safety regulations
- Perform basic concrete work, trenching, and scaffolding setup
- Document daily progress and report site issues to foreman
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year construction or heavy labor experience
- Valid Texas driver's license and reliable transportation
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred (training provided)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
- Flexibility to work nights/weekends on project deadlines
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Strong teamwork ethic and punctuality
