Responsibilities
- Execute construction tasks including site preparation, excavation, material handling, and debris removal
- Operate hand/power tools safely and efficiently under supervisor guidance
- Assist skilled tradesmen (carpenters, masons, electricians) with project-specific duties
- Maintain clean, organized job sites and adhere to OSHA safety protocols
- Read blueprints and follow verbal instructions for task execution
- Load/un construction materials and equipment as needed
- Participate in daily team briefings and safety meetings
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year construction/labor experience preferred
- Valid California driver's license required
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
- OSHA 10-hour certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Reliable transportation to job sites within Sacramento County
- Strong work ethic and punctuality for early morning starts
- Basic math skills for material measurements
- Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
