Responsibilities
- Execute site preparation tasks including excavation, grading, and material handling
- Operate hand/power tools (saws, drills, jackhammers) safely and efficiently
- Assist carpenters and masons with framing, concrete pouring, and finishing work
- Maintain clean and organized job sites while adhering to OSHA standards
- Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards
- Load/unload construction materials and stage equipment for optimal workflow
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on construction or labor experience
- Valid OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in physically demanding conditions
- Basic knowledge of power tools and construction terminology
- Reliable transportation and punctuality for early-morning starts (5-7 AM)
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Strong work ethic and ability to follow verbal/written instructions
- Experience working in Seattle's weather conditions (rain, cold, heat)
