Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespeople with material handling, site preparation, and cleanup tasks
- Operate basic hand and power tools under supervision (hammers, saws, drills)
- Follow detailed safety protocols and maintain organized work zones
- Load/unload construction materials and equipment safely
- Perform physical tasks including digging, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and debris removal
- Read and interpret basic construction plans and supervisor instructions
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines efficiently
Qualifications
- No prior construction experience required – training provided
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions
- Strong commitment to safety and willingness to follow all procedures
- Valid driver's license preferred but not mandatory
- Reliable transportation to job sites within Portland metro area
- Ability to stand/walk for 8+ hours daily and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Positive attitude and eagerness to learn new skills
- Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screen
