Responsibilities
- Assist carpenters, masons, and other tradespeople with material handling and site preparation
- Operate hand/power tools safely including saws, drills, and demolition equipment
- Load/unload construction materials and maintain organized job site layouts
- Perform excavation, trenching, and backfilling operations as directed
- Apply construction materials like concrete, mortar, and insulation under supervision
- Conduct daily site cleanup and waste management per OSHA standards
- Inspect and maintain tools/equipment in proper working condition
- Follow all safety protocols and report hazards immediately
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year construction or labor experience preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- OSHA 10-hour certification or willingness to obtain
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and materials
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Flexible schedule availability including overtime as needed
