Responsibilities
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, leveling ground, and setting up safety barriers
- Load/unload construction materials, tools, and equipment using proper lifting techniques
- Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, masons, electricians) with material handling and task support
- Operate hand/power tools (saws, drills, jackhammers) under supervision
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and comply with OSHA safety standards
- Perform heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs) and physically demanding tasks as required
- Report hazards or equipment malfunctions to site supervisors immediately
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year construction/labor experience or equivalent physical work background
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Valid driver's license with reliable transportation to job sites
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Physical stamina to work 8-10 hour days in varying weather conditions
- Basic math skills for material measurement and inventory tracking
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety protocols
