Responsibilities
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, setting up scaffolding, and organizing materials
- Operate power tools (saws, drills, jackhammers) and heavy equipment under supervision
- Follow blueprints and safety protocols to execute construction tasks accurately
- Assist carpenters, masons, and other tradespeople with specialized tasks
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment throughout project phases
- Report equipment malfunctions and safety hazards to site supervisors
- Complete daily time logs and progress reports as required
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and materials handling
- OSHA 10-hour certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Strong work ethic and punctuality with zero tolerance for absenteeism
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Willingness to travel to Illinois job sites as needed
