Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by cleaning and clearing debris, and setting up work areas.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and distribute building materials to the correct locations on the job site.
- Tool Operation: Operate basic construction tools and equipment, including jackhammers, generators, and concrete mixers under supervision.
- Site Cleanup: Maintain a clean and safe job site by removing waste and securing tools after use.
- Assisting Trades: Support electricians, carpenters, and plumbers with various tasks as needed.
- Material Measurement: Measure, cut, and fit materials (wood, metal, concrete) to specifications.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in general construction or labor work is preferred.
- Physical Demands: Must be physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for long periods.
- Tools: Basic knowledge of construction tools and safety equipment is a plus.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
- Safety Orientation: Commitment to following OSHA safety regulations and site protocols.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
