Responsibilities
- Perform general labor tasks, including loading, unloading, and carrying materials to and from the job site.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently under the supervision of a foreman.
- Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, etc.) with daily operations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by removing debris and following OSHA safety standards.
- Read and interpret basic construction plans and safety signage.
- Move dirt, lumber, and equipment as required to facilitate project progress.
- Perform physical labor in all weather conditions, including rain, heat, and cold.
Qualifications
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Physically fit and capable of standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
- Willingness to work overtime, nights, and weekends as project demands.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation are required.
- Basic understanding of construction site safety protocols is a plus but not mandatory.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
