Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Prepare construction sites by clearing and cleaning areas, removing debris, and setting up temporary work areas.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport building materials to and from job sites using hand trucks, dollies, and forklifts.
- Assisting Trades: Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, plumbers) with various tasks to ensure projects stay on schedule.
- Concrete & Foundation: Help pour concrete, set forms, and ensure proper curing for residential and commercial projects.
- Equipment Support: Operate basic construction equipment such as jackhammers, saws, and generators under supervision.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and site-specific safety protocols to maintain a secure working environment.
- Site Cleanup: Maintain a clean and organized job site by sweeping, raking, and removing waste materials regularly.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in construction labor, general contracting, or a related field is preferred but not required for the right candidate.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50+ lbs) and standing on concrete.
- Availability: Must be available for immediate start and flexible working hours, including weekends and overtime when necessary.
- Valid Driver's License: A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required for site transportation.
- Tools: Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools is a plus.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with foremen and team members.
- Work Ethic: Demonstrated reliability and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
