Responsibilities
- Material Management: Load, unload, and distribute construction materials, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently to job sites.
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and setting up temporary structures.
- Equipment Support: Operate basic construction equipment and hand tools (e.g., drills, saws, levels) under the supervision of skilled tradespeople.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety regulations and site-specific protocols to ensure a hazard-free work environment.
- Site Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized job site, ensuring tools are stored correctly and the area is free of tripping hazards.
- General Labor: Provide direct support to carpenters, electricians, and other trades by performing necessary tasks to keep projects on schedule.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform manual labor for extended periods, including lifting up to 50 lbs repeatedly and standing for long durations.
- Work Ethic: A strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Communication: Basic verbal communication skills and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions clearly.
- Driver's License: Valid driver’s license is preferred for site travel.
- Experience: Previous construction experience is a plus, but we are willing to train motivated candidates with no prior experience.
- Availability: Flexibility to work full-time hours, including potential weekends and overtime during peak seasons.
