Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in clearing and preparing construction sites, including digging, leveling, and removing debris.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and organize construction materials, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Basic Tool Operation: Operate basic construction tools and machinery under the direct supervision of a foreman.
- Site Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by adhering to OSHA safety regulations and protocols.
- Team Assistance: Support skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, etc.) with various manual tasks and measurements as directed.
- Measurement & Marking: Assist in measuring areas and marking lines for installation or cutting.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform strenuous physical labor for extended periods, including standing, walking, and climbing.
- Lifting Capacity: Capable of lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly throughout the workday.
- Availability: Reliable attendance and willingness to work full-time shifts, including weekends and overtime when needed.
- Communication: Basic ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions from supervisors.
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred, but not mandatory for this entry-level position.
- Legal Status: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
