Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespeople with daily site operations, including carpentry, masonry, and general construction.
- Load, unload, and accurately stack building materials and equipment on the job site.
- Prepare construction areas by clearing debris, digging trenches, and leveling the ground.
- Operate basic construction tools and machinery (such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or drills) under strict supervision.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all safety protocols are followed at all times.
- Transport materials between storage and work zones using hand trucks or dollies.
- Perform basic measurements and assist with concrete pouring or rough framing as directed.
Qualifications
- Ability to perform strenuous physical labor for extended periods, including lifting up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Reliable transportation to and from the job site in Chicago, IL.
- High school diploma or GED preferred, but experience is not mandatory.
- Strong willingness to learn and follow safety regulations and verbal instructions.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and early morning shifts.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
